Going to be heading to both of these events this weekend. Will have my kids with me and we plan to camp at Lake MacBride SP on Friday and Saturday nights. The primitve campground is less than four miles from the Sugar Bottom Trail Head. Also about 25 miles from Beverly.

I have camped at SB before and it is great facility. However I believe it is closed for season as of today. The Dam Complex campground is open till Oct. 15th.
But my real reason is State Parks are now are on their off season rates! Primitive sites(no elec, no showers) are only $6 per night!!!

Good to know, thanx. I guess you had it all worked out already. My bad. I personally haven't camped at MacBride. Have you camped there b4? Let me know how it is/was.

Picked up the van I was borrowing for the weekend to do an oil change on it, and found it had some transmission problems. Who woulda thought?
Anyhow should find out today if it is going to be up and running or not. If not probably just show up for Sundays race.

Man, you get RV and all of a sudden you're too good for a tent?!? :poke:
Sugar campground "closes" on Sept 30, but offers free dry (primitive) camping from Oct 1-Nov 1.
Keep your eye on the websites, we will try to post cancellations asap for the Bev TT.
