Trail Work Thursday 9/17/09

We will be setting as bridge on the south end of the park and will need many bodies to help get it to where it needs to go. Meet at the Rock Island county Highway barn at 6:00pm. To get there turn off RT 84 in Hampton on to Hubert Rd ( Road to Stones Apples) go up the hill and take the first left when you see the county barn, drive back in to the left until you see a rock pile. If you get lost or can not find us call me at (309) 721 5192.

PS. We will also need some help loading the bridge at Ray's around 5:30pm.

mp & I can be available for a short time around 6:00 if you get enough folks to make it happen. If not, we do have something else we should do but would blow it off to help. ELSANTO please post up if it is a go or not so we know. Come on FORCERS, it's a bridge... bridges are cool... we want to be cool...

Andy P., Zach and I will be there to help load and set the bridge.

Do you think we will have time to work on other projects besides the bridge? We have acquired quite a few large rocks that need to be moved from the lower parking area to the spot we will be building a retaining wall. Bring leather gloves as the rocks have sharp edges just in case.

mp & I would like to offer our sincere apology for the lame attempt to help you last night. After screwing up on I-80; not realizing the off ramp is closed; visiting silvis, e moline and beautiful hampton; we rolled in just in time to greet you coming out of the woods. we had to get somewhere by 7 so we took off content in the knowledge that we wasted time, provided no help, and got stuck in traffic twice. oh well, better luck next time.
by the way, the trails out there look sweet. we did't realize there was that much room on top of the hill. you guys are doing a great job and we can't wait to put tires to dirt, thanks.
