August Meeting

Our big events are over of the year so for the August meeting we are going to do something different. The Meeting/Pool party will be held at dads place on Sunday, August 2 @ 3pm. This is open to all current and possible FORC members. It will be our regular monthly meeting with a catch, there will be a pool. So bring the family, friend, something to throw on the grill. There will be beer and your welcome to bring your own just remember, just can't have glass around the pool.

Our August club meeting is going to be sweet: POOL PARTY!

When: Sunday, August 2, 2009 3 PM

Where: Bob Griesenbeck's home, 2523 East 46th Street Davenport, IA (on 46th Street between Jersey Ridge Road and Elmore -- 46th street is the only street that intersects Elmore in that area)

Details: There will be a grill on hand if you want to cook some food. Bring a dish to pass if you feel like it and we can make it a potluck. Mr. Griesenbeck always has a keg tapped which we have been invited to imbibe from. Or, if you are more picky, bring your own stocked coolers (Keep in mind that glass containers are prohibited around the pool. Bring a plastic cup.).

Open to all current and potential future FORC members. Bring the family and/or friend(s). All welcome. Join us Sunday!

I had forgot to mention where to park. There is no parking on 46th street. You will need to park on Maryview Ln, right behind his house, then walk between the houses to the pool (he also owns the blue house on Maryview witch is directly behind his place). I have a 21 lb. turkey in the smoker and the weather looks to be perfect! See you there.:cheers:

Well, we tried! We ALMOST got to the meeting/pool party when Rick apologized for me making the food, but we had to go back home. Baaaad head ache and stomach ache. He slept for 3 1/2 hours! Gave our son the salad and some of the desserts that I made. Have not hooked up with our daughter to give her some of the desserts---YET! Really wanted to come, but he really needed to be at home! Sorry guys and gals!
