Hey Guys,

So now that I've figured out how to ride some of the trails, I think its time I figure out something about what I'm riding. Since you all are sooo awesome and helpful and full of good advice I figured I'd start here.

Being a total ditz with mechanical things and having no good idea of what's what on my bike, I figured I'd start at the bottom and work my way up with the tires.

I want to get myself prepared for a flat BEFORE I get my first one. And I was wondering what kind of tubes I would need? What's the difference?
What other tools would be required to change a flat?

Thanks!

I got a flat one time and ended up pushing my bike about 5 miles to a 25 cent air machine and had to ride from air machine to air machine inflating my tire until I got home :( Now I carry tire patches and a tire pump everywhere :)

Another popular option is a CO2 inflater and a spare tube. You have a 26" tube on your bike and any tube would do. I'm sure someone would show you what to do in the parking lot after a ride. Just ask.:burnout:
