could have sent a private message but thought i would post for everyone to see..............

a big thanks to you for pointing out that the tube i was carrying in my pack was the wrong kind. as i tried to let you use it and the valve was schrader and you needed presta. AS I THINK ABOUT IT, THE BIKE I WAS ON HAS PRESTA RIMS ALSO, so that tube was useless to myself also...... (thinks to myself, duh genius.)

a simple mistake that could have even worse potential on longer trail rides.

just thought others would get a laugh maybe and take that extra second to think about what you really need on the ride yer headed out on.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering that myself because I saw you had presta on your XTC. No biggie, I've made the same mistake myself.

Another thing to check is the pump you carry with you. I realized mine didn't work for me the hard way after carrying it around for a couple months.

also, if you ride both 26 and 29. I've even grabbed my seatpack with a road tube in it. Easiest thing to carry is a presta tube, as it will fit both valve holes in a pinch...
