broken brake lever :-(

I just got my new brake levers in the mail and one had the end snapped off :mad: does anyone know if the lever can be switched out it looks like it has some kind of pressed in pin.

my first thing would be to call seller. tell about problem, see how THEY wanna fix the issue first. if that doesn't get satisfactory results then look at other options. if they will replace it, go that way first.? i know it means more time but find it unlikely that they will just replace the lever.


as for just replacing the lever, anything is possible, just depends on your knowledge and tool availibility. pins can usually be drilled out and replaced with a bolt of some sort. won't be or look factory but it will fix the problem.

maybe the LBS mechanics can chime in and help a bit here........give ideas or remedies they have used or "engineered".

I had an avid lever replaced by a shop once, it wasn't too expensive..

Friends don't let friends use USPS for shipping :(they will not cover (run over by the forktruck, smashed in the door ,fell off the truck) anything without insurance and you will have quite a time getting a refund with insurance
