I'm heading out to the Mattheissen trail work day on Sunday, which is scheduled from noon to dark. I think a few others posted in the old forum interest in going, but don't recall the details. Give a holla.

I asked Jon about tools, and he asked for us to bring whatever we thought was necesary. They don't have any long new trail to make but do need to bench cut some areas and apply a good outslope. These were all horse trails, so they're more rehabbing, outsloping trail, doing a few small reroutes, etc. I'd guess we don't need to bring the yard bosses, just typical hand tools.

From Doc P: Take I80 east, exit 178/Utica go south, go over Illinois river, up hill to stop sign(IL 71), continue straight - it's the 3rd marked Mattheissen sign to the right. The first sign you'll probably miss and is for an equestrian camp, the 2nd is called 'the dells area', and the 3rd is the 'river area'. Turn right at Mattheissen River area and take 1st left - you'll see us there - bring some warm ****!!!

Mark, you and JB oughta ride on up with me, 'k?

Ray and I have a few hand tools and bikes ready to go. Lights are charged and hope to ride afterwards. You up for it? It might be a our first night snow ride of the year!
