View Full Version : Our Own Taco Ride

Next Wednesday after work I am inviting everyone to join me for a ride from Moline to Rapids City. The plan is to leave from the Celebration Bell Parking lot and ride up to the Bridgeview Inn in Rapids City. It's 10 miles each way.

Plan to start riding at 5:40.

They have hard and soft shell tacos for a $1 and $2 bottles of Coors Light.

Invite anyone you know who might enjoy biking and eating/drinking.

I got the idea watching IPTV(it's what you watch when you don't have cable)

I am thinking we are going to have about 18 people for this ride. I like how people are making it their own by adding to it! I hope some of the night riders join us before they hit the trails.

I'll be there. If anyone is considering doing this ride, but doesn't have a set of lights....post up and I'll bring an extra set. If nobody posts up, the extra set is staying home (planning on riding down to Bent, don't want the extra weight in my pack if nobody is going to use them)

Steve or someone else, anyone have another set of lights to lend? Mine are in Orion and I won't be able to get them between now and then (and they're not charged). I might be closer to arriving at Bent at 5:15 (gotta run to Jonny's and let the dogs out first). This is going to be SO FUN!!

I'll meet y'all (yeah I said y'all) at Bent @ 5... was thinking of takin the roadie out for another spin.. might just drag the knobs, instead. I'll ride there and back.. Dunno about the second trip to Illiniwek.. got a Ragbrai meeting around 9.. gonna cut it close.. wooohooo

Thanks for checking. I will enjoy the first time through Illiniwek and then head back on the path. Jonny will have his lights (I actually have them charging in my office right now) to illuminate the trip back to bent.

Not sure. I won't have time. Still at work, but I will be at Celebration Belle at 5:30. I do know others plan to be at Bent after the ride tonight...

I really want to ride dirt! So that is what Anna and I are planning right now. However who knows with the current weather if we can do that, and then it could be storming at 5:30 as well. So I guess it just depends. But we hope to ride somewhere!!!
