Wanted : Old, cheap, functional rear derailleur

I agreed to help a friend fix up his old bike, and found that his rear derailleur needs to be replaced. The bike is old and not worth much, so I want to find a new derailleur on the cheap. Does anyone have a derailleur that would be compatible with a 6 speed cassette they would be willing to part with?
