Well, that pretty much sums up my question... With the Superfly coming and all... I mean, geez... I have to, right? :D

Yep, SS is here to stay.
I just converted the Niner to SS, looks like we're in the same boat...

Will Singlespeeders have the opportunity to race alongside the Sport or Expert class, or are all SS racers riding in the 20mile race that starts at 1:52?
Race info site shows Mens Sport at 11:50 and SS at 1:52
You can race SS in any class, or you can race in the SS only class. SS only will have a better payout than Sport, and will definitely be a smaller group of riders.

To you guys running SS 29ers,
What gearing do you run at Sylvan?
I'm running 34-20, but I tend to be more of a "spinner" on SS. Kings has been waffling between 34-18 and 34-17.

34-18 has worked well for me.

Does your Superfly have horizontal droppouts? Do you have trouble setting up the rear brake?

I have two SS MTB's, one with track ends and the second with vertical dropouts. I don't have a problem setting up the rear brakes (BB7's) on either of them.
