New Mexico in March

I am heading to New Mexico in mid March. I will be in the Albuequerque, and Santa Fe Area for about 6 days. Does anyone have advice on riding there? I am traveling by Amtrak, with no bike as Galesburg does not have checked luggage. So I will be renting one to ride. I am contacting some people there through couchsurfing.com about a bike to borrow and a place to stay. So if you know someone in the area with extra bike, or place to stay let me know.

Gallup, NM is a 2hr drive west on I-40 from Albuequerque. They put in some sweet trails there that I rode last summer. Similar to Fruita, nice singletrack. I believe you can rent a bike at the shop in Gallup.

Otherwise, check out the trail reviews on mtbr.com, and post up on the forum for that area. That's my typical process for finding the low down when I travel; people on mtbr are usually very helpful.
