Anybody been to the island lately?

Not realy, I was down there yesterday riding and it's not bad in just the snow but the places were there is ice under the snow are rough.

Mark, Pags, Legs and I rode at West Lake park yesterday. The old snow/ice was pretty much gone, so there was only fresh snow on the grass. It was great. I'll ride there again, a good substitute for singletrack in the woods that will be iced up for a while yet.

If you have studded tires and the balance of a cat, then yes, it's rideable.
