this is going to be a big, big day!
AG was able to get his hands on some very nicely sized limestone rock.
where will it go, you ask?
well, in the first creek crossing on LT of course!
most of you have ridden the treacherous creek by now and know that it is badly in need of some TLC...
there are a few other areas of importance that will need some work as well...
sooooo....bring your body, some water (or beverage of your choice), and come help us make this creek crossing one of the neatest, most memorable features of Sunderbruch!
I'm there.

ps. Dru_B has some rock we can use as well, riding around in the back of his pickup...

mccloud
pulaski
loppers
chainsaw
I'm hoping the rain will hold off for the next day or two...stay tuned to this thread for any updates.

I will be there...? Does this conflict with an Illiniwek trail day?

How big are the limestone pieces? Do you need me to bring a wheel barrow or any lifting stuff, ropes, bars, etc.? I'm guessing we don't want to carry it down to the creek bed.
Most importantly should I bring my bike?
I also can bring a wheel barrow...and my bike

wheel barrows are good, very good...
bring your bike if you want, mother nature will dictate whether we can ride or not...
looking forward to seeing you guys there!

Pics of the second creek crossing, I didn't get any of the first. A major improvement over what they were, it is much easier to carry speed, particularly up the climb after the first.

glad to hear the creek crossings are good to go!
we had a big time turnout today, 14 people, to repair the two nasty creek crossings on LT and continue the reroute of Kickapoo Up.
thank you to all who showed up and contributed their time to helping our club improve our already wonderful trails. there's no doubt as to why FORC is the best club in the midwest - members willing to put in the time and effort to make the riding experience better for all.
more pics to follow, I'm sure, as there were a few cameras on the trail today.
14 FORC'ers bustin a$$ on creek crossing and reroutes = 42 total hours
total hours = 228
