Tonight reminded me of why I love mountain biking...I had a tough time finding someone to ride this evening and I almost stayed home...I'm glad I didn't.  I hit SBP tonight from 7:40 - 8:40 and kicked my own butt on the new addition that was put in last Fall.  I thought it was an incredible test (perhaps a testament to my diminished skill level).  I was actually thankful for the 3 or 4 wet spots as it gave me a chance to get off my bike, walk around, and allow my legs to stop burning for a few seconds.  Anyway, I was thrilled not only by the trails but by the wildlife.  I literally chased a turkey down a stretch of single track, ran into a tree because I was startled by a racoon that ran out in front of me, and rode up on six deer!  Seriously, is this place great or what?!?

As for conditions, the trails were in really good shape except for a few mud pits that look like they have been hit a few times too many recently.  They are easy enough to walk around.  I think Ware and I are heading out again Sunday morning.  Anyone else going?

Boys, I'm headed back to the Yukon...
