HFDB Time Trial Thursday OCT 30th
Night TT!!! Be sure to read the Forum Rules before posting
need I say more
I trimmed up the Kickapoo downhill, then Farmdale from the first paved crossing to the 2nd paved crossing. I was hoping to get the rest of Kickapoo trimmed, but it got dark too early (9pm tonight). We need to make sure to cut back the tall grasses that are further from the trail, otherwise they will be falling across the trail later this summer. No need to cut those all the way to the bottom, about half way up does the trick.
I think if we have the two push trimmers and head up the other side of Farmdale would be cool, let them clean up Farmdale/Jubilee/Sugar. Hand held trimmers could then hit Blue/ Palos/ LT. . .

I will press on...
HJ and I will be there tonight but I don't get off work til 4:30, so it won't be until after that for me... We each will be armed with a weed wacker, string and gas-o-line (and I'm sure Johnny will have other gas too). A good octane boost!
Carol & I are going to leave the shindig (we need to attend tonight) a little early and head over to wack weeds (around 6:00 or so). Aaron, I will give your cell phone a call so you can let us know where we need to work.

More: there were quite a few limbs on the trails that I worked last night, so I wouldn't be surprised if we find the need for a chainsaw, might be a good idea to have one available if necessary.
Also: Trails were pretty wet. The known soggy areas will take quite a few drying days (which don't seem to be coming) to get back into shape. Communication works - no sign of hikers or bikers on the singletrack, even though there were a couple of cars there with people who were walking up the paved hill.
And: Sweet cover on the kiosk. Nice work AG.
Well.........I'm sure Ray Ray and I will be there with the weed wacker some sort of gas.
Poofy:)
WAAAA! Don't make fun of me, WAAA!
Actually, that looks fun as heck! Almost like Wile E. Coyote and his rocket & Skates!!
